On 20 November 2025, the Cluster Hub “Production of raw materials for batteries from European resources” held the fourth edition of its annual workshop in hybrid format in Brussels, co-organised this year by CLEPA through the RESPECT project together with RELiEF, FREE4LIB and LITHOS. The event highlighted the latest technologies across the battery raw materials value chain, from mining to advanced recycling.

RESPECT contributed with its presentation “Hydrometallurgical Recycling of LIBs: the RESPECT Project Approach”, showcasing recent progress on black mass leaching and recovery pathways, including promising lab-scale cathode active material (CAM) synthesis from recycled salts, as well as ongoing work to further optimise and adapt the process through improved recirculation strategies, flexibility assessments and higher-volume synthesis.
