The International Solvent Extraction Conference took place in Melbourne (Australia) from 29 September to 2 October 2025. This event happens every three years and gathers the most important solvent extraction experts in academia and industry from all over the world.

The sessions are focused on different fields where solvent extraction is an important separation technology, including hydrometallurgy, recycling, nuclear field or pharmaceutics. The RESPECT project was presented by Andrea Locati (Chalmers), who delivered an oral presentation, "Phase Behaviour of Saponified Cyanex 272 and Counter-Current Extraction of Co(II) from Ni-rish Lithium-ion Batteries Leachate". He also showcased a poster titled "Extraction of high purity nickel sulfate from NMC 111 batteries leachate through solvent extraction and crystallization" which was prepared by Amit Barnwal and was exposed during the poster session.
